EDIT: Whoops. I going to add the rules of competeive brawl here:
Rules for matches are as follows:
If both you and your opponent agree to a different rule set, you can play however you want, but if one player disagrees you MUST play by these rules. You don't have to agree on all rules, you can play on 4 stock for example if you both wish, but one may not want to play with items etc. etc.

3 Stock

8 minute timer

Items are set to "off" and "none"

Best 2/3 unless agreed to a different number by both players

No player may choose a stage they have already won on in that set unless agreed upon by both players.

If the timer runs out, the victor is determined first by stock and then by percentage.

Metaknight's Infinite Cape glitch is banned.

You are responsible for your own controller and name tag. Any malfunctions or errors that occur are your responsibility. Always check to make sure you're using the correct settings BEFORE a match is played. If a match is to be restarted due to controller functions, either suicide immediately or risk forfeiting the round at the opposing players discretion

Stalling is banned. (This includes planking. 50 ledge grab rule.)
Stages!
The first round must be played on one of the starter stages. The loser of the first round gets to choose a stage from the counter or starter list. If the player who won the first round loses the second round, they can choose a stage from either list that they have not won on unless the other player agrees that they can go back to that stage.

You can go to any stage if agreed upon by both players.
